You can get a First Progress Platinum Elite Mastercard® Secured Card with a bad score and limited credit history. First Progress also doesn’t perform any hard inquiries on new applications, which means your current score also won’t be affected.
First Progress provides the right tools and resources for cardholders to keep track of their score improvement. By paying your balance in full and on time on your First Progress Platinum Elite Mastercard® Secured Card, you’ll be able to notice an increase in a few months. That is because First Progress reports all account activities to the three main credit bureaus in the U.S.
You can choose a limit between $200 and $2,000 for your First Progress Platinum Elite Mastercard® Secured Card, which you’ll have to submit along with the application. That security deposit is fully refundable once you close your account in good standing or upgrade to an unsecured card.
The First Progress Platinum Elite Mastercard® Secured Card charges an annual fee of $29, but it’s not the only fee attached to the card. There’s also a foreign transaction fee and cash advance fee of 3%, and a max late fee up to $41.
