Opening an account at Merrill Edge investing
Merrill Edge investing offers some types of investment accounts with different ways to manage them. The Self-Directed type is one of those ways where you can get a promotion, at the same time as you are free to trade and be guided by outstanding customer service and support.
Plus, this account gives you unlimited commission-free for stocks, ETFs, and options trades.
Also, there is no account minimum required.

Open account online
Access the Merrill – a Bank of America Company – website and choose the Investment account you want and the way you want to manage your investments.
The Self-Directed one is right on the left corner at Invest tab.
You need to enter your Social Security number, personal, financial, and employment information for the application.
Also, you can enter an offer code to get a promotion.
If you don’t have a Bank of America or Merrill account, you need to open one.
Then, move on with the forms. Fill in all the information required, review and submit it.
