The American Express Black Card
The Centurion® Card from American Express, commonly known as the Amex Black Card, is made of anodized titanium and offers many exclusive rewards.
You can get an invitation or request for one – if you are already an Amex cardholder. That’s one of the advantages, as it has a simpler way to get to be a member, even though it is known as the most exclusive and desirable card in the world.
Although it almost has no limits, cardholders are limited to two authorized users per account, and each user will pay the same annual fee.
The $10,000 initiation fee plus the annual fee, guarantee an excellent credit level, a big amount of rewards and benefits, and VIP access to events, hotels, lounges, and rental services.
It was launched to have the best redemption rates for the rewards earned. As well as it is great for those who spend a lot of time traveling.
It provides more information than the Stratus Rewards Visa White, while doesn’t disclose in detail how the membership program works.
The Stratus Rewards Visa Credit Card
Launched in 1999, the Stratus Rewards Visa White was meant to be the highest level of a credit card. Sony Cierge and Connect, Marco Polo Club, Zino Platinum, and Marquis Jet are just a few of the partners this card can put you with if you manage to be a member.
To be a cardholder of this first white card in the world, you must get invited. Once you manage to get it, you can enjoy, with exclusivity, pooling its rewards points together to use toward private jets and other perks, as listed on the table above.
As an elite product should be, this card doesn’t reveal much information either, unless you get to be part of this select and exclusive group.

Amex Black or Stratus Rewards: Which you should choose?
Although the annual fees are high, the exclusive and unrivaled benefits and rewards can be worth it. Also, it pays off if your lifestyle is about traveling a lot and spending money with big events, experiences, and shopping all around the globe.
Furthermore, some say that the concierge and customer services are great and deliver what promised. It is important to note that those exclusive credit cards have unique resources like no other card has. Such as private jet rewards and partnerships with huge brands in hospitality and retail.
But, as you can see, there is not much information and details on how these cards’ perks and rewards work. Even though the American Express Black provides a little more information and simpler access on how to be a member and enjoy the benefits, a big part of it is still not disclosed.
And the reason why this mystery surrounds those cards is all about the target audience.
First of all, you should have a very high and excellent credit score, as well as a high declared income and net worth (basically being a part of HNWIs – high-net-worth individuals), to secure an invitation to join the exclusivity and secrecy that circle the club.
