Investment Fees

If you are planning to enter the investment world, you should be aware of the fees you will have to pay.  Step aside and see what they are.

The Mister Finance

Internal Expenses/Expense Ratio

It is an annual fee when you invest in a mutual fund or an ETF, calculated taking into account the total expenses and assets under management of the fund.

Investment Advisory/Management Fees

Also applied to mutual funds, this fee is charged as a percentage of your managed money value and decreases as your balance increases.

Commissions

These are transaction fees. Some consultants/brokers are paid through fees, others are paid through commissions.

Annual account/Custodian fees

A custodian fee is charged to pay the brokerage that holds your securities on your behalf. This reduces the risk of you losing your assets or stealing them.
