How does the MBNA World Elite Mastercard credit card work?
Let’s get started with the main feature of this card. At a glance, you earn a generous welcome bonus of up to 30,000 bonus points, divided into 20,000 after you make $2,000 or more in eligible purchases within the first 90 days from the account opening and 10,000 once you enrolled for paperless e-statements in the same period.
Also, you earn 5 points for every $1 spent on the eligible restaurant, grocery, digital media, membership, and household utility purchases, with the limit of $50,000 annually in the applicable category.
Plus, 1 point for every $1 on all other eligible purchases.
The rewards are flexible so that you can redeem your points or cash back, brand-name merchandise, gift cards from participating retailers, charitable donations, and travel.
Furthermore, the points don’t expire.
MBNA also gives you a Birthday Bonus Points of 10% of the total rewards you have every year, to the maximum of 15,000 Points.
And you have the possibility to join the MBNA Payment Plan for large purchases.
But, if you think this credit card is all about rewards, you are mistaken.
This Mastercard also provides you with emergency services, concierge, coverage, support, rental vehicle benefits, and trip assistance.
In addition, you get travel insurance, security features, and more.
On the other hand, such a good package of benefits comes with a price. So, you will pay $120 as an annual fee and $50 for an additional cardholder.
