How does the First Citizens Personal Checking Account work?

First Citizens bank offers three different types of checking accounts to serve all profiles, needs, and goals.

Firstly, the basic checking option charges a $0 monthly fee when you settle for paperless statements.

It requires a $50 minimum deposit and allows free digital banking access and card alerts.

However, the basic checking option doesn’t offer other features like free overdraft transfers, free use of out-of-network ATMs, free checks, and a reloadable debit card.

On the other hand, if you want an option with more features, Premier Checking might be worth considering.

In summary, this account offers interest earnings, free checks, free digital banking & card alerts, and a reloadable debit card.

But it requires a $100 minimum deposit and an $18 monthly fee that can be waived by following some criteria like minimum balance. 

Thirdly, Prestige Checking gathers perks and VIP experiences. This account option allows you to get the best rates on CDs and EquityLines, and free access to a wide range of ATMs.

Also, it features free overdraft transfers, free checks, a reloadable debit card, and much more.

Although it charges a monthly fee of $25, it can be waived if you meet some requirements like minimum daily balance.

Furthermore, it requires a minimum deposit of $100.
