- You need assistance whilst the awards for your child are being processed;
- You have been in an emergency circumstance (such as losing your home in a fire) and do not qualify for a grant; Also, you have been medically disabled and will be out of work for fewer than six months;
- You have no access to child support from the other parent.
Also, you need to know that there can be other requirements to qualify for this grant.

You can apply for the Child support grant if you need help raising one or more children. However, you’ll need to meet all the requirements before you can get this grant.
Moreover, you’ll be able to get monthly amounts to each child to get the food or other supplies you may need.
In addition, this program can take up to three months to get a response about the application.
