How does the World of Hyatt credit card work?

Chase features a Visa card full of benefits for those who love traveling around the world. The World of Hyatt credit card gives bonus points for every purchase you make.

Also, it invites you to stay in one of the best hotels and resorts worldwide: Hyatt.

But let me take on a tour of how it works. So, let’s begin with the welcome bonus – actually, a generous welcome offer.

As a new cardmember, you get 30,000 Bonus Points after spending $3,000 on purchases within the first three months from the account opening.

Plus, up to 30,000 More Bonus Points by earning 2 Bonus Points total per $1 spent within the first six months on purchases that typically make 1 Bonus Point (up to $15,000 spent).

Second of all, you earn up to 9 total points per $1, in which 5 points are the base from Hyatt per eligible $1 spent for being a World of Hyatt member, and four are related to $1 spent on purchases at all Hyatt hotels.

Third of all, you earn 2 Bonus Points per $1 spent at restaurants, on airline tickets, local transit, commuting, fitness club, and gym memberships. Plus 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases.

Furthermore, you receive one free night for your cardmember anniversary at any Category 1–4 Hyatt hotel or resort. And an extra night after spending $15,000 each calendar year.

The card also features a Refer-a-friend program, as well as additional benefits, such as merchant partners offers, travel & purchase coverage, no foreign transaction fees, the possibility to elevate your elite status, and more.

All of that comes with a $95 annual fee and a variable APR of 20.74% – 27.74%.
