  • Families and individuals who are eligible for Medicaid;
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP);
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI);
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance Head Start;
  • Food Distribution;
  • Veterans Pension;
  • Survivors Benefit Programs, or other assistance benefit, may be able to get an Obama Phone subsidy.

Firstly, the consumer must use the National Verifier application system. So, accessing the official FCC website allows you to choose your state to proceed with the application.

Secondly, make sure you have the documents required, including personal identification. 

Thirdly, the applicant must choose a phone or internet company within 90 days of qualifying for the benefit.

Also, it is important to mention that Lifeline or Obama Phone provides up to a $9.25 monthly discount on broadband internet or phone, either fixed or mobile.
