To apply, you’ll need to complete a grant application form at the nearest SASSA office. Moreover, you’ll need the guidance of a SASSA officer to complete the application.

In addition, you’ll need to complete and fill out many forms and bring many documents. Also, some of the documents need to be a sworn statement signed by someone that can verify your name and age.

However, you’ll also need to provide simple documents, such as proof of residence, proof of income or dividends, proof of marital status, and more.

Requirements

Before you start applying for this program, you’ll need to meet some requirements. For example, you need to be a South African citizen or permanent resident, or refugee in SA.

Also, you can’t earn more than R86280 if you’re single and not more than R172560 if you’re married.

Moreover, here is a list of the main requirements to qualify for this grant:

  • be a citizen, permanent resident, or refugee of South Africa;
    be between the ages of 18 and 59;
  • not be receiving treatment from a state facility;
  • live in South Africa at the time of application;
  • not make more than R172 560 a year (married) or R86 280 a year (single).

Therefore, be sure that you understand that these are only a few of the requirements to qualify for this grant.
